Updates from Ross Bingham

Ross Bingham to propose details

MN Snow Rad (Rider Assist Directory) – this is a new program that MnUSA is offering to their members that needs some participation. There are 5 levels of participation

Youth Snowmobile Training Course with the DNR

11-15 year olds would participate in the training course

Other organizations offering the same thing: Scott Warner in Waconia – fills up, Snomads – 2-4 hours of web based training + 3 hours of in class + riding class – fill up every year, Randy Bauber of NWT – 80 kids in one class & fills up every year

Ross is asking for any volunteers to get certified as an instructor, we would need 3-4 instructors

Could help us recruit some new club members too

Logistical concerns – only 2 classes to get certified through the DNR (Tuesdays – Nov 15 or Oct 25), Depot would be free to host the classroom at, Hennepin County Sherriff’s station does not host it anymore

Snomads have hosted the Sunday, last day of the Christmas vacation
