Ever ridden in Voyageurs national park? Its stunning with miles of endless forest, large lakes and rock formations. Destinations include the Chain O Lakes trail, Kettle falls and the Kettle Falls hotel and the Ash river trail.
I contacted the ASH KA NAM resort on the Ash river. They have a variety of lodging options including cabins, condos and hotel style rooms. There is also a nice lodge for meals and socializing after a long days ride. Our contact is Mindy at 218 374 3181 and tell her your with the Westonka Snoblazers.
There is a resort just up the river called ASH TRAIL LODGE. They are also open in the winter if ASH KA NAM fills up. ASH TRAIL LODGES # is 218 374 3131. There is a web site for the trail, www. ashriver.com with lots of info and photos.
Plan on a Friday ride at noon from ASH KA NAM, an all day ride Saturday and Sunday am ride before returning home Sunday night.
Drive time from Mound is 5.5 hours. Its worth the time and once you see it you WILL want to go back. Call with questions if you want.
